Anthony Hooper joined Amgen as executive vice president, Global Commercial Operations in October 2011. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the company’s Global Commercial Operations.

Hooper joined Amgen from Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he held numerous senior leadership positions including senior vice president, Commercial Operations and president, United States, Japan & Intercontinental. His broad commercial operations experience includes running the BMS commercial business in North America, Asia, Middle East, Africa, South America and Europe.

Prior to BMS, Hooper held leadership roles at S.A. Cyanamid, Lederle, and Wyeth-Ayerst. Hooper earned law and MBA degrees from the University of South Africa.
