Seattle, Washington
Amgen’s presence in Washington includes sites in Seattle and Bothell. Amgen's new Helix campus is located on the Elliott Bay waterfront, just north of downtown Seattle, and is the largest commercial biotech facility in the Pacific Northwest. The beautiful 40-acre site was specifically designed to optimize scientific collaboration. In addition to science-based art and design elements, the campus includes the latest technological advances in computerization and robotics, which help scientists accelerate the drug discovery process.

The Helix campus also features an award-winning double-helix pedestrian bridge, which allows the public access to the adjacent park’s trail system. Staff members have access to a great cafeteria, gift shop, and an on-site gym. They also enjoy breathtaking views of Puget Sound, the Olympic and Cascade mountain ranges and downtown Seattle.

Our location in Bothell, a growing suburb approximately 20 miles northeast of Seattle, consists of a 45,000-square-foot process development facility and a 19,000-square-foot cell culture facility. Both are devoted to identifying and developing safe, reproducible, scalable and cost-effective manufacturing processes, as well as the production of material for clinical trials. Staff members enjoy discounted gym memberships and other amenities.

Residents of the Seattle area enjoy both abundant outdoor recreation opportunities and big city amenities, including fine restaurants, arts and cultural activities and major league sports teams. As the largest biotech employer in the region, Amgen collaborates closely with other world-class research institutes, invests significantly in science education and plays an active role in many community organizations.
