Our Rhode Island manufacturing facility is dedicated to the manufacture of Enbrel® (etanercept), running 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Amgen has recently increased this plant's capacity, adding more than 500,000 square feet of manufacturing, utility, administrative and laboratory space to the 73-acre campus. The completed plant houses one of the world's largest mammalian protein manufacturing facilities.

Staff members in Rhode Island enjoy such amenities as an on-site cafe, fitness center, yoga and pilates classes and on-site massages. Amgen also has a recreation league for staff featuring a variety of activities, including golf, running, cycling, softball, skiing and basketball. Amgen and our staff remain active in the local community as well. We hold an annual corporate spelling bee to benefit local children and support many local charities in Rhode Island.
