Amgen International MBA Program

Amgen has developed a International MBA program to develop high caliber leadership and management talent with experience and exposure across a range of functional disciplines. The program provides a unique opportunity for recent MBA graduates interested in developing broad leadership skills and knowledge in the biotechnology industry to position themselves as key long-term contributors at Amgen.

Participants will spend three years in the program, rotating through several positions. At the program’s completion, each participant will be assessed for permanent placement on the basis of the individual’s interests and Amgen’s needs.

Program Structure

The Program is comprised of three to four rotations of varying lengths, including a sales representative rotation core, followed by rotations chosen on the basis of individual interest and company needs. Those selected for the program will be paid a competitive starting salary, signing and annual performance bonuses and reimbursement for reasonable relocation costs to all assignment locations.

Career Prospects

Upon completion of the program, Amgen will assess participants for positions at Amgen International that will leverage the broad experience gained during the rotational program. Career paths following the first placement will vary and will depend on the particular skills and aptitude of each individual.

Locations

Program rotations will be located across Amgen’s International offices, with likely placement in more than one country.

Ongoing Development

A senior executive mentor will be assigned to each participant to provide overall career guidance. Participants will also have the opportunity to attend annual internal and external training meetings to complement their on-the-job education.
