Before beginning a summer internship, qualified candidates must complete their first year of an MBA program in finance, marketing, or a related area and be enrolled for a second year of studies. In addition, three or more years of relevant experience in a corporate environment are required.

Marketing Intern

In this internship, each student becomes an integral member of one of our marketing teams. Participants have the opportunity to demonstrate their communication, interpersonal and analytical skills by working across Amgen’s functional lines, addressing a substantial business issue and applying their creativity to advance our commercial business performance.

Finance Intern

This internship allows students to conduct financial analysis on a variety of subjects. This includes evaluating capital utilization metrics, the impact of reimbursement changes and research and discovery cost-to-market benchmarking. The position allows students to use their financial reporting and forecasting abilities, as well as their financial modeling, analytical and quantitative skills.

Amgen typically accepts applications for full-time opportunities in September, and internships in January. The positions are posted for approximately three weeks during the recruiting period.
