John Wemple Classical High School Providence, Rhode Island Many of John Wemple's students are drawn to a college major in biology after taking his classes in biology and anatomy and physiology. Mr. Wemple excels at inventing new ways to keep students involved, such as the "Coffee Shop," where students read a scientific paper and write a one-page abstract, then discuss it over tea the next day as in the scientific salons of Europe. Mr. Wemple's Advanced Placement classes are well-attended, and his success can be measured by his students' high scores. Whether teaching, mentoring or coaching, he brings a youthful enthusiasm to his craft that his students enjoy. |
