
ON THE LINE: Amgen Teams Up to Tackle Prostate Cancer
Amgen is excited to announce that we have joined the ON THE LINE team as a Founding Sponsor. The goal of ON THE LINE is to encourage men to speak openly about their prostate health and most importantly to their physicians about the risk factors and range of treatment options related to prostate cancer. Through exciting and interactive resources that include a comprehensive website, educational materials, sport and celebrity spokespersons interviews, televised commercials and messages woven throughout ESPN’s assets, ON THE LINE addresses prostate cancer from the perspectives of both men and women.
ON THE LINE draws on the expertise of an independent panel of prostate cancer physicians from the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), who provided the core clinical prostate cancer information that serves as the basis for the campaign content. ON THE LINE has also enlisted teammates Zero, Us TOO, Prostate Conditions Education Council (PCEC), and the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) to serve as local and community resources and networks.
Amgen is proud to join ON THE LINE as part of our commitment to people living with cancer and the cancer community. We believe this initiative will provide much needed resources to motivate men to become educated and engaged in their own health – from becoming aware of their risk factors, to knowing their options for diagnosis and treatment.
