Amgen R&D Postdoctoral Fellows Program
Amgen's R&D Postdoctoral Fellows Program is committed to providing early career scientists with an enriching environment to inspire innovation and contribute to the understanding of fundamental biology, disease pathogenesis, and the development of human therapeutics.
Since 2015, the postdoc community has been collaborating to enhance strategic efforts across R&D. The program offers opportunities for mentorship and career development across Amgen's therapeutic areas.

About the Program
Postdocs are onboarded into Amgen as full-time employees for an initial term of three years. The option to extend to a fourth year is possible based on project progress and publication potential.
Compensation is reviewed regularly and is commensurate with other industry postdoc programs including salary, annual bonus, 401k, and health insurance. Amgen takes commitment to health and wellness seriously, and there are numerous programs and incentives designed to help employees maintain a healthy work-life balance.
Of Amgen's R&D postdocs, 98% go on to pursue a career in industry, with an estimated 35% deciding to stay at Amgen. Other career paths include both government and academic lab positions.
