Amgen Focuses on Education This World Osteoporosis Day

Worldwide every three seconds a bone breaks due to osteoporosis, a chronic disease that makes bones more likely to break and is especially prevalent in postmenopausal women.1, 2

This October 20, World Osteoporosis Day, Amgen aims to help educate and raise awareness about this silent disease with an Osteoporosis 101 animated video.

The video provides a worldwide snapshot of the burden of osteoporosis and the impact of the disease, highlights common risk factors and empowers women to talk to their doctor about making a bone health plan.

As a leader in bone health with more than 20 years of osteoporosis research experience, Amgen committed to combatting this disease to help women at high risk for fracture reduce their risk of a first and subsequent fracture.
