Scott Skellenger is senior vice president and chief information officer. He is responsible for leading Amgen’s global technology strategy, overseeing digital risk management, and driving technological modernization across all platforms and infrastructures.

Skellenger has held a variety of leadership roles within Amgen’s technology organization where he has built multiple next generation platforms, some of which incorporated artificial intelligence and machine learning. His most recent role was vice president, Research and Development, Informatics & Global Infrastructure Services.

Skellenger spent several years outside of Amgen as a senior technology executive developing health and life sciences commercial products in startup companies at the intersection of genomics and oncology.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems and a Master of Business Administration degree in Information Technology Management from California Lutheran University.
