Sean Bruich is senior vice president and Chief Technology Officer. Bruich is responsible for leading Amgen's efforts in accelerating the development and deployment of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and the advancement of data and data sciences to transform the company’s science and operations through technology. In this role, he oversees AI and data, digital product management and engineering across the enterprise. He joined Amgen in 2024.

Bruich has built a career advancing technical innovation in global insights and AI organizations through pivotal moments of industry transformation. Prior to joining Amgen, Bruich was vice president, Global Insights, Data Science, & Analytics at Nike. He and his teams led the development and deployment of machine learning algorithms across Nike's digital and retail experiences, co-led the design and launch of the company's first digital app storefronts, and led efforts to digitally power internal operations through data-driven measurement and forecasting.

Before joining Nike, Bruich worked in Silicon Valley in data science innovation, product development, and commercialization at Facebook (now Meta) and Google.

Bruich earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Biological Sciences from Stanford University.
