Som Chattopadhyay is Senior Vice President, Global Business Solutions and National Executive. He is responsible for operations in India, Lisbon, Tampa as well as Global Procurement.

Chattopadhyay joined Amgen in 2002 and has held leadership roles across Operations and Finance in Rhode Island, Ireland, and Thousand Oaks. Most recently, he served as vice president, Global Supply Chain, where he led Amgen’s global supply operations and ensured continuity of supply through the COVID-19 pandemic and Hurricane Maria. He also served as executive sponsor of an initiative to digitally connect Amgen’s end-to-end supply chain.

Earlier in his Amgen career, Chattopadhyay was the Finance lead for a transformation effort resulting in broad operational and financial change across the enterprise. Prior to joining Amgen, he worked in the semiconductor industry, supporting large-scale capital expansion projects in multiple global locations.

Chattopadhyay holds a degree in production and industrial engineering from the Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology in India and is a licensed professional engineer (mechanical) in the state of California.
