Amgen on the Green at the KPMG Women’s Irish Open

The KPMG Women's Irish Open took place at the O'Meara Course in Carton House, County Kildare, Ireland, this year from August 29 to September 1, with the four-day event attracting over 30,000 golf fans to Ireland's most prestigious women's golf tournament.

Golfing talent like Alessandra Fanali, Georgia Hall and Leona Maguire took to the course and ultimately, it was Annabel Dimmock who came out on top as the tournament winner with a final score of 19 under par following a playoff against Pauline Roussin-Bouchard. Ursula Wikstrom finished third. This was the third play off in a row at the Irish Open and an exhilarating finish to the week. Congratulations to all on fantastic performances.

Amgen staff volunteered with tournament charity partner, The National Breast Cancer Research Institute Ireland

The Pro-Am competition began on Wednesday August 28, with the main event taking place Thursday through Sunday. Amgen is a premium partner of the tournament, which welcomes top golfers from across the globe and is one of the most highly anticipated events in the Ladies European Tour. This partnership is a testament to Amgen's deep roots in Ireland and the company's commitment to the communities in which its teams live and work.

Amgen hosted a special activation zone at the tournament, where attendees could enjoy an interactive putting simulator challenge and learn more about Amgen's mission and work.

Through sponsorships with the KPMG Women's Irish Open and the Amgen Irish Open, Amgen is also supporting charities that reflect a shared commitment to making a positive impact in communities. Amgen staff volunteered over the weekend with tournament charity partner, The National Breast Cancer Research Institute Ireland, fundraising to support its aim of improving outcomes for women in Ireland diagnosed with breast cancer.

After an exciting weekend, everyone at Amgen is looking forward to the next Irish golf tournament on the calendar—the Amgen Irish Open, Ireland's premiere golf tournament which will take place at the Royal County Down Golf Club, County Down, Northern Ireland. The Pro-Am takes place on September 11, with the first round teeing off on September 12, and running through September 15.
